Full-Time English Teacher in Matsuyama, Ehime, Japan

Amic English Center, a division of Amic International, is now accepting applications for full-time English teachers in Matsuyama and Toon, Ehime, Japan.
We are excited to announce the opening of a new branch school in central Matsuyama in January 2026. Successful candidates should be available to arrive in Japan by the end of 2025 for a one-week training program.

As this new school may introduce a fresh system and style of English education, we are seeking flexible, creative, and enthusiastic teachers who are eager to grow with us during this new chapter.

THE JOB

Main responsibilities include:

• Planning and teaching English conversation lessons for children and adults
• Supporting school operations and day-to-day activities

SALARY & BENEFITS

• Starting salary: from 260,000 yen/month (based on experience)
• Company-arranged apartment available at a reasonable rent
• Work visa sponsorship provided

WEEKLY WORK SCHEDULE

• 40 hours per week (8 hours/day, 5 days/week)
• Work days: Tuesday–Saturday
• Teaching hours: max 25 hours/week
  • Lesson lengths vary: 25 minutes (online) or 45–50 minutes (in school)
• Primary teaching location: the new branch school in Matsuyama

DAILY WORK SCHEDULE

• Weekdays: 12:00 pm – 9:00 pm (with a 1-hour break)
• Saturdays: 10:00 am – 7:00 pm (with a 1-hour break)

THE LOCATION

Matsuyama is a vibrant city known for its historic castle and Dogo Onsen, the oldest hot spring in Japan. It offers a rich cultural life, delicious food, lively festivals, and quick access to beautiful nature. Our current schools are in Matsuyama and nearby Toon, and our new branch will be located near the city center.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Required

• Native-level fluency in English
• Bachelor’s degree (any field)
• At least 1 year of teaching experience
• A flexible, positive attitude
• Strong passion for teaching English
• Cheerful and approachable personality

Preferred

• Teaching qualifications (TEFL/TESOL/CELTA)
• Master’s degree in education or related field
