Shenyang Korean International School (SKIS) has a position open for

a full-time EFL English teacher starting in March, 2023

Shenyang Korean International School (SKIS) is hiring a professional teacher, who is a citizen of one of the following English-speaking countries: US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, or South Africa.

Shenyang Korean International School was officially opened with approval from the Korean and Chinese governments in 2006. Our school consists of Kindergarten (age 4-6 with 5 students in total), Elementary (grade 1-6 with 53 students in total), and Middle and High School (grade 7-12 with 76 students in total) departments. All students in Shenyang Korean International School are Korean, and we have around 30 teachers including four native English teachers and six native Chinese teachers.

SKIS is located in Shenyang, which was the capital city of the Qing Dynasty. Shenyang (Chinese: 沈阳)

2. Salary and Benefits (pre-tax)

• Salary: Total 18,150 RMB (before tax) per month

-Details (Basic Salary: 13,650 RMB per month, Teaching Research’s Allowance in English Department: 1,000 RMB, Housing Allowance: 3,500 RMB per month)

• Bonus: 7,325 RMB a year in February

• Retiring allowance: 29,300 RMB retiring allowance upon the completion of the initial two-year contract.

• After school classes: Opportunities are given to teach after school classes with extra pay. (180 RMB per one period before 4:20pm, 200 RMB per one period after 4:20pm)

• Paid summer and winter vacation: Around 35 days of summer vacation and 50 days of winter vacation are fully paid.(All teachers should work for about one week of each vacation for workshops, organizing the office, grading process works, etc.)

Airfare to/from your home country: For a teacher from outside of China, one-way economy class airfare from your home city or near your city to Shenyang will be reimbursed in the first month of teaching and a one-way economy class return ticket to your home city or near your city will be reimbursed upon completion of the last

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree from a university in an English-speaking country in any subject area

• Visa: Working Z visa provided

•Teaching experience of more than 2 years is required to get a Visa in China

4. Preferred Qualifications

• ESL certificate (CELTA, TESOL, or TEFL) are preferred

• Teaching qualification is preferred

• Applicants currently working in China on a Z visa are preferred.

5. Procedure

• Application document submission period: Oct. 27^th ~ Nov. 17^th

• Notice of the interview: Nov. 21^st

• Interview: Nov. 23rd

• Notice of the final result: Nov. 25th
