Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an English Language Teacher for our Bukit Mertajam centre in Penang for an early-2026 or shortly after start.

The position will largely involve working in our Bukit Mertajam centre but could also include some work in other centres and occasional off-site teaching. Teachers are expected to plan and teach a range of English language courses for young learners, teens, and adults. The majority of our students are young learners who study part-time with us for two hours per week. Teachers can expect to work from Wednesday to Sunday and teach a maximum of 24 contact hours during their 40-hour work week. The position also involves a range of administrative responsibilities including maintaining and marking portfolios of students work, engaging with parents on class progress, and completing student reports.

Penang:
Our three centres are located in Straits Quay Marina on Penang Island, and on the mainland in Butterworth (Bagan Ajam) and Bukit Mertajam (Alma). All are close to residential and shopping areas with a wide range of affordable condos having good facilities such as a pool and gym. Commuting to all centres is quite easy and no matter where you teach you can choose to live on either Penang Island or on the mainland. Penang Island is popular with expatriates and Malaysians alike and affords a wide range of recreational and outdoor activities while historical Georgetown has UNESCO World Heritage Site status. The cost of living is much more affordable than in many major cities in the region.
