Enhance your career in a top private English school based in the lively Mediterranean city of Valencia, starting 1st October until end of June 2022, teaching young learners, teenagers and adults. We are recruiting a native level English speaking EFL teacher for full time positions, from Monday to Friday, in the evenings. Candidates should be qualified, experienced and legally allowed to work in EU. We offer excellent and stable working conditions.

Details of Position

Unique opportunity to join The Kent Institute team of highly qualified and experienced EFL teachers. With nearly thirty years of experience behind us, we provide high teaching standards along with a professional and friendly working atmosphere, in the classroom and among staff. Kent Courses are mostly General English, aiming to encourage students to improve the four basic language skills, with a strong emphasis on communication. We teach students of all ages from Pre-A1 to C2 level, in groups of 10 students maximum, all of them strictly classified according to age and level. Group ages and levels are assigned according to teachers profile. Kent is also a Premium Cambridge Examinations centre with a high rate of successful candidates.

Typical tasks that teachers should be carried out include:
preparing creative lesson plans and presenting them in the weekly teachers meeting;
delivering high quality general English lessons using varied communicative language teaching methods;
applying classroom management skills;
preparing and setting examination papers;
marking and providing appropriate feedback on written exams;
preparing students for Cambridge English Examinations;
creating good rapport with students, peers and superiors;
working in strong collaboration with colleagues and superiors;

Induction period: New teachers will be offered guidance about teaching strategies, curriculum, procedure and practices so as to deliver lessons according to the school method and standard. Throughout the year, they will also get assistance in lesson planning, classroom management and exam preparation;

Job Requirements

  • Native or bilingual speaker with high proficiency in the use of the English language.
  • European citizens or non- European legally allowed to work in the European Union.
  • a certificate TEFL qualification (preferably CELTA with A or B grade).
  • education to degree level or equivalent qualification at least two years’ relevant TEFL experience.
  • experience in Cambridge English or other official exams preparation.
  • dynamic and trustworthy applicants willing to commit to a nine month contract, from October to June 2022.
  • ICT proficient
  • Applicants should be qualified in TEFL, experienced and passionate about teaching. They should also possess excellent spoken and written communication skills.
  • As well as having the relevant qualifications and previous experience in similar positions, candidates will need to show evidence of the following:
