Looking for English teachers to join our team in Taichung, Taiwan!

Our team is comprised of teachers from all over the world, including the UK, the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, and Belize! A vast majority of our teachers have made Taichung their home for many years now.

Taichung is a beautiful, sunny city in central Taiwan. The bustling city is surrounded by mountains and offers a vast amount of both indoor and outdoor activities, including picturesque hiking trails and beautiful biking routes.

The birthplace of bubble tea and Taiwan’s second largest city, Taichung is home to an array of traditional markets, renowned restaurants, and important cultural institutions. A burgeoning street art scene and a new coffee shop or bar popping up every week adds to the city’s cosmopolitan offerings. Taichung’s central location makes exploring northern and southern Taiwan easy, while the airport puts Taiwan’s islands and other destinations in Asia within easy reach.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive rate of up to 700 NTD per teaching hour and a monthly stipend of 3,000 NTD for work outside the classroom, such as grading homework and preparing for class. We also guarantee teachers a minimum of 20 teaching hours per week, but most of our teachers teach between 24 and 26 hours per week.

Coming to Taiwan

We provide immigration assistance, sponsor your work permit, and enroll you in Taiwan’s National Health Insurance.

Training

Upon arrival in Taiwan, we provide our teachers with training and support to better understand our curriculum and build essential classroom skills.

Requirements

1. Applicants must hold a passport from a country where English is the official language, such as Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, the United States of America, and the United Kingdom.
2. Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree or a US associate degree and a TEFL certificate.
3. Applicants must be able to pass a criminal background check.
4. Applicants must be willing to sign a 12-month contract.
5. Teaching experience is not necessary, but is always a big plus!
